Terms & Conditions — Avg Speed Monitor

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Avg Speed Monitor Android app ("the app"), developed and operated by TechBrew SRL ("we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Romania. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Description of the app

Avg Speed Monitor is an Android overlay that shows your live cumulative average speed while driving through average-speed enforcement zones. It's designed to run alongside your navigation app of choice (e.g. Waze, Google Maps) — it does not provide navigation itself.

The app is intended solely as a supplementary aid to help you stay within posted average-speed limits. It does not replace your own attention to road signage, posted speed limits, or applicable traffic laws, and it is not a guarantee of legal compliance.

2. Subscriptions, trials, and payments

The app offers several ways to unlock full access:

• Free trial. New installs receive a one-time 5-day free trial. After it expires, continued access requires one of the options below.
• Subscription. Recurring access billed through Google Play Billing at the price and interval shown at purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel any time from the Google Play Store's Subscriptions page — cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current billing period.
• Day pass. A one-time purchase granting temporary access with no auto-renewal.
• Voucher codes. Promotional codes that grant access when redeemed; each code can be redeemed once.

All payments are processed by Google Play Billing — we never see or store your payment card details. Pricing, billing, refunds, and payment disputes for Google Play purchases are subject to Google Play's own terms. Prices may change; we'll give notice of any change to an active subscription's price before it takes effect on your next renewal, as required by Google Play policy.

3. Zone data accuracy

For Bulgaria, the average-speed enforcement zone data used by the app is compiled from publicly available sources — the official Bulgarian toll operator FAQ at bgtoll.bg/vaprosi-i-otgovori and a publicly shared Google Maps dataset. We do not guarantee that this data is complete, accurate, or current, and enforcement zones may change without notice. You remain responsible for observing posted signage regardless of what the app shows.

4. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of GPS/location inaccuracies or calculation errors.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any speeding tickets, fines, penalty points, license suspensions, accidents, or other sanctions or consequences arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including but not limited to inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or outdated zone data, calculation errors, GPS/location inaccuracies, device performance issues, or misuse of the app. You remain solely responsible for observing posted speed limits and complying with traffic laws at all times, independent of anything the app displays.

To the extent any liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability to you arising out of or related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

6. Your responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable traffic laws and posted signage — the app is a supplementary aid, not a substitute for your own judgment.
• Don't interact with your phone in a way that's unsafe or unlawful while driving; mount your device and configure the app before you set off.
• Don't use the app for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to circumvent, disable, or abuse its subscription or voucher system.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and the curated zone database are owned by TechBrew SRL and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't transfer any ownership to you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription through Google Play. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, without affecting any rights or obligations that already arose before termination.

9. Changes to the app or these Terms

We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect.
